Description I have been bad about submitting art (again, I know).

Here is a piece I painted in December. Ever since I drew [link] I wanted to draw a slice of life piece set in the same world.

Shipwrecked on a strange land, the merchants from the southern kingdoms did what they had to to survive. Game and fish were not wanting, and the land was fertile and took to the plough. But the merchants remembered the horses from their native land, and, seeing the elk, began a long effort to bring the beast under their will...

Painted in inks. The darkest color is my homemade black walnut ink, aged four years.

This one is pretty freaking sweet. They should try training moose next.

Hehe. I didn't actually think about moose. That would be a really impressive mount. I'm sure someone has ridden a moose before--whether or not they lived to tell the tale, however, I don't know!

Happy birthday!

That thing is gorgeous. I'm definitely behind you submitting more art. (But it looks so cold!)

Foggy mornings are cold! I was trying to get the impression of the sun just rising--a slight warm feeling, but my walnut ink didn't have enough red in it, and trying to wash with yellows and reds didn't work. That's why it's cold.

I actually have a bunch of woodcarvings that I haven't submitted, which I should. I'm hoping to finish one this evening...

Thanks for the compliment and birthday wishes!

Thank you, Deino! I actually had the atmosphere in mind before the figures themselves, which is not what I usually do. Maybe I should more often.
