Description
A sort of characterized visualization of my long running favorite genre of music, drum&bass. The idea for this was floating around in my head for quite some time and, after many hours of frustrating out-of-memory crashes (the scene originally totalled ~930,000 polys; optimized down to ~650,000), the continual feedback and encouragement from my girlfriend ~the-crazy-spork (who also sketched out the costume designs for me), hours of fussing with slow, buggy hair simulations (which I eventually discarded), and one final 3h52m40s render, is complete.
Obviously most of my inspiration came from music; in particular, John B, Exile, High Contrast, and London Elektricity; artists who have been experimenting with taking drum&bass in different directions and keeping it from getting stale.
I guess I could go into more detail in the explanations, but if I've done my job then I shouldn't have to!
