For some time now I have been e-mailing my wife a flower photograph every morning as a small way of saying "I love you."

I saw on the news where it was cherry blossom time at the Capitol. I thought, "wow, wish I could go.." ANd you were there! Very beautiful capture.
Was it as crowded as it looked on the TV?

Mmm, not really. We were at the tail end. This particular shot was taken near the path that led to the main festival area. There were plenty of people, but not mass numbers.
