Mhm, Most people keep there fetishes to there selves. Furs however call it a way of life, a culture, and in some extreme cases a religion. Some are so dedicated they dress up to better relate to there fetishes where they hold conventions. Most people just try to stay away from furs but online, trolls have been known to go out of there way to harass furs. On sites like 4chan and deviant art furs have been know to post art and converse about it in forums. However, the difference between 4chan and deviant art in that way is that in 4chan the trolls will find the forum and quite literally Kill, Maim and eventually burn the forum into that wasteland known as 404. The reason furriness is considered a fetish because some artists (Not all) draw a certain type of art. Some furs also just use it for cyber sex. Giving, not only those specific artists and fans but the entire fandom a bad name. Now yes the majority of furs are homosexual or bisexual but most just keep it to themselves leaving others to just assume that any fur is just as bad as those artists or cybers which is often not true but trolls don't care, as long as they get a reaction. Art, guilds, clans and more have been made with the same logo as "Furry Pride" but the only reason they are needed to make this is because of those first few artists and cybers who couldn't keep certain things to themselves. Now Furs are not necessarily always gamers but when a gamer becomes a fur (or the opposite) The non fur gamers will defend there own "Culture" or "Way of life" if they must and can be very aggressive when there games have been mixed in with fur fandom but gamers and furs can mostly keep there insults to themselves as long as the furs just keep the fandom to themselves. The same can be said with anime fans but furry art can in some ways be referred to anime or chibi art. Normal people don't always know what a fur is but since the fandom is mostly online they don't get many chances to come into contact with a fur unless they stumble upon a convention and even then the most a fur would get is a strange look. Certain magazines and in some rare occasions a news channel or two have done reports on furs however. In my opinion being a fur isn't something you should HAVE to make a poster saying that you're proud to be one, A: Most people just want you to keep it to yourself and B: You should be proud to be a fur but it shouldn't be such a big deal that you need to be so blunt with it, If you saw it my way you would not have to make that poster if there were no trolls, Trolls just blow it out of proportion and make it even worse on furs IE you need to draw the line and say “Hey, I'm a fur and I don't care what you have to say because this is who I am.” Being a fur shouldn't be such a big deal, Yes I know you must be wearing that poster as a trophy for your pride but there wouldn't be a problem with pride if trolls would just leave furs alone.
