I saw it in your journal that you don't blend with tissues? So you just made this with pencil strikes? Wow~~~ That's impressive~~~
I used to draw with simple pencil strikes and they look like kindergarden homework... Then I saw some tutorial made by DA artists on how to blend, they used tissues and stuff, and I was like, wow, so that's the secret ingredient I've been missing....... But when I try to use the tissue trick it always looks messy and dirty...
I was confused, and now I guess I should try to forget about the tissue and go have fun with pencils~ haha, thanks again~~~ great job~!

I'm so relieved to hear that you like this one. I tried to use tissue half-way through the last portrait that I posted, and it wasn't turning out right in my opinion. I enjoy the feeling of making the pencil strikes blend together, plus it looks more traditional in then end. The tissue makes the drawing feel like photographs instead of drawings or sketches.

I agree~~~ but it's kinda cool to draw something that ends up looking like a photo though~~ hehe, anyways, I think you should probably rescan your works cuz I bet they'll look a lot better when you do so~~~~
