This custom action figure was actually created from the DC Direct "Long Halloween" series Catwoman figure, with the arms from a Mattel DC Universe figure, and the head from the DC Direct Silver Age Catwoman. The entire figure was repainted to be a much more accurate version of Jim Balent's Catwoman.

Great job! To make it totally Comic Book accurate you need to lose the tail and paint the black face part purple, at least to make it the Jim Balent poster style you posted earlier.
I have made several customs of Catwoman-check out my page and the one on WEBSHOTS if you want to see some examples.
Thanks for the step by step pictures!

Thanks Skphile.
My custom Catwoman figure is not really artist specific. And like virtually all other artists who depict these characters, I am employing a certain amount of creative licence.
Actually, I've always considered the black face on Batman and Catwoman's cowls in the comics to be a stylistic choice... suggesting shadows. Even the Jim Balent Catwoman image I posted presents it that way.
Also, the tail on her costume IS comic-book accurate... depending on which artist has drawn the story.

Thanks for your detailed reply! Your artistic interpretation is very interesting and I enjoyed your explanation as to your specific choices.
I thought you were trying to duplicate in every detail the Balent standard look and made the two suggestions under that impression.
Keep up the good work! Thanks again for taking the time to reply!
