i finished it way back in high school with a grind stone then polished it took me a little over 6 years

Wow. I wish I had the time, the equipment, or the skill to do that! I made mine out of old cardboard tubes and shoeboxes over the course of just a few evenings.

it may take a while but you can always do something some people use sink pipes to make theirs

Good idea. I might have to try that. The next time I make a lightsaber I'm planning to use bottlecaps and plastic bottles and stuff. Maybe after that I'll try something a bit more substantial like pipes.
