The Nintendo DS game for Revenge of the Fallen has a ton of weapons to use and- by far my favorite- is the grenade launcher. I began thinking of a Decepticon who specialized in demolition with explosives, and then I wanted to draw it, and then I did; in the style of the Bay-Formers.

I thought Detonator would be a good name for a demolition bot then I went to Transformers Wikipedia and found out Detonator is the name of a Recyclon who is so obscure his entry fits on half a page and has no picture. So... anyone see a problem here?

His weapon of choice is- of course- a grenade launcher. The tires on his gut deploy landmines that he can control remotely. He can also use them in vehicle mode to mine roads behind him and escape pursuers. Since his weapons are a bit more finicky and are most effective with planning, he prefers to survey a battlefield and formulate plans: catch a target off-guard and trap and eliminate them before they can counter him. He shows disdain for his fellow Decepticons who simply charge into fights with no thought to subtlety. If he's in a melee fight (seems to happen a lot in the Michael Bay movies) a favorite tactic is to take one of his landmines, stick it on his opponent's body, and dive away and let it explode. If he sticks it on an arm or leg, it usually blows right off.

I don't know enough about Transformers backstory to say why he's aligned with the Decepticons

And he's a bit portly. So am I.
