My OC's backstory, part 2.

Rather than modify a person, the scientists on Project Jadow decided to genetically engineer a new species from scratch. The scientists created synthetic tissues and bones to mimic those of an actual organism. They decided to use a non-human body structure. They were able to duplicate the electricity that occurs in the human brain, substitute strands of code for thought, and create a synthetic brain. The result was a sort of organic super computer, capable of making complex calculations in seconds. They used chemicals similar to those that make up DNA to give Jadow a unique genetic code. Some of the crystals that gave Atlantis its legendary power source were infused into his genome, giving him…well, for lack of a better term…super-powers. They also designed special gauntlets for his arms, legs, and shoulders. These devices were loaded with tactical weapons like sniper shots or mini-rockets.

The results were extraordinary. Jadow’s synthetic body wouldn’t break down on a cellular level, like other experimental synthetic tissues were prone to doing. Jadow was fully sentient and, thanks to data streams implanted in his brain, had lifetimes’ worth of knowledge. His synthetic muscles were stronger than any human’s, and his agility and endurance were greater than a human’s as well. The power crystals infused into his genome gave him the ability to absorb sunlight and re-channel it as waves or bursts of pure destructive energy. He also gained the ability to distort the time-space continuum, allowing him to instantaneously teleport himself practically anywhere on the planet, as well as speed or slow time around him.

Jadow was sent into battle against a legion of Lord Demonix’s soldiers. Jadow drew his powers from light, and he was able to easily carve through Demonix’s Dark warriors. Project Jadow was obviously a success.
