I finally finished it...A present for my dad's 50th birthday. (He's the knight, btw)
This is the best looking pic i've ever done, but it could have been way improved with a better composition which makes me very disapointed in myself.
I hope dad likes it. I'm printing it off on A2 for him as a poster.

I'm such a detail whore. I just can't leave it alone.
Done all in photoshop. About 35-30 hours of hard work. But it was a good learning experience.

Well I have something to say here and I intend to say it. First of all that knight's (your dad's) armor look very fantasy-like but also very fake. Just look at his legs. The way where the metal plates come together in his knee area looks like he wouldn't be able to kneel or anything. Thus his walk would be very stiff. Also the way he is holding his sword. It a little looks like his hand is bent to the back a little unnatural. And his face. I don't know your father and I suspect he looks like that but for some reason here the knight seem to have more then 50 years. By the way that piece of cloth hanging from his crotch. It's raining so I think it should be somehow affected by the water.
About the dragon. I have no complains here. The amount of detail on his scales, wings and head is just amazing. And I just adore the lightning effect on the sword. It's freaking awesome. Overall this artwork is outstanding I'm sure your dad will love it.
Ok I'm shutting up now. I hope I didn't make you too mad. The ranting and all and I don't even know how to draw myself.

lol! Nah i appreciate it. This pic is a testament to me in the fact that all I ever draw is dragons, and i don't like drawing armor, so it looks like arse biscuits. I need to practice more. And yeah, it's my dad's 50th birthday on Sunday, so spot on with that.

Well it's good thing I don't annoy you. Best wished to your dad. It's a little funny but my father's name's day is on Saturday (In Poland we stop celebrating birthdays when someone reaches 18 then we only celebrate his name's day - the name of his patron)

Yeah. Poland is a catholic country over 95% of the society is catholic so the name's day is more celebrating the saint from which you got your name. So in Poland people more common have names after saints, angels and such more than exotic names. For example my name is Michael so my patron is Archangel Micheal.

Well, I don't know your dad personally, of course, but hell, to me the whole thing is amazing. I wish I had the patience to put detail like that into my stuff...
That actually reminds me, I have a huge posterboard I've been working on and off on for several years. There's three dragons on it and I've been meaning to finish it. You'd probably like it. Perhaps your kickassery will serve as the inspiration and motivation for me to drag it out from under my bed and finish it...
