OMG. I MADE IT. IT WORKED. YYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I CAN UPLOAD! Btw, expect like 40 uploads from me after this. Anyway, this art, is for the tale of....*cues dramatic music*
The Snow Queen! It's a Hans Christian Anderson story (he's known for, Thumbelina, The Ugly Duckling, and his most popular, The Little Mermaid) and I think it's his best!
Gerda is the heroine and the girl at the bottom, Kay is the damsel (dame?) in distress, and poor guy, not only was he captured by the Snow Queen, he got the devil's mirror shards in his eye (hence the shattering) and in his heart, and they corrupt everything he sees and feels to be ugly. And keeping them apart is the Snow Queen, btw. Hate how she looks.
SO THIS HAPPENED WHEN I CHECKED OUT A GIANT BOOK OF HIS FAIRY TALES FROM THE LIBRARY. SO YEAH. IT'S AMAZING. IF YOU'VE NEVER READ IT, READ IT. IT WILL TAKE YOU LIKE 15 MINUTES, AND THEY WILL NOT BE WASTED.
PS. THIS PICTURE DOES IT NO JUSTICE. I WISH I COULD JUST TAKE YOU ALL TO MY HOUSE, GIVE YOU SOME FOOD, AND SHOW IT TO YOU. CAUSE IT LOOKS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
