Shera of the Thousand Faces

Hailing from pure-bred clone stock, Shera Y8S was nurtured up to maturity by her Hierarchy Owners, then harvested and left for dead during the Synth-Tithe. Tetraplegic, missing half her face, as well as a host of non-essential organs, Shera was ‘Reconstituted’ by the BadMEiNN, an Industrial racket that specialises in automaton-enhanced slave labour, and forced to live out a miserable existence as a Geisha to cruel and half-human clientele.

Fitted with the Visage-Corintha to mask the scars of the Tithe, Shera played the role of The One with Many Faces, a pitiful oddity performing for the perverse and sick0-minded. Such a plight attracted the attention of a Core-Djinn, travelling incognito, perhaps on the run from it’s A.I masters, and as her back was bowed and bared at the end of the dance, a triangular talisman was affixed to the base of her neck by it’s deft and invisible hands.

The Talismen blossomed out into a multi-armed apparition of solid light and holo-field, the potent Wish-Virus encased within the gift making her more than whole. With her one-time masters cowed in fear, Shera simply walked out of a life of slavery and into one of renown, a many-faced, many-armed deity, invigorating and uniting those of her kind, the used, the maimed, the indebted, at last given a reason to hope.
