Description This is for the MLP Humanized Equestrian Girls wiki. The relationships of Rainbow Dash.

Family

Scootaloo
Scootaloo is Rainbow Dash's adopted daughter. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo both shared a powerful mother-daughter relationship with each other. However, Rainbow Dash is fully aware about the night where she found Scootaloo as an infant and decided to adopt her. But she secretly saves it for later to keep Scootaloo for noticing. The bond allows the two to enter the Parent & Child Annual Social Challenge. Rainbow loves her daughter so much, but is very busy at times to spend time with her since she is super famous in Equestrian Town.

After planning a camping trip at Sodor City, Scootaloo gets scared by her adoptive mother's horror stories. Once awake that night, Scootaloo is still scared by her mother's stories. She leaves on her scooter when she mistakes Gordon's snoring for a Minotaur's bellowing. She slides down a hill and toward a river canyon when her scooter hits a rock. When she falls into the river, it carries her toward a giant waterfall. As she hangs onto a tree root and calls out for help, Rainbow Dash saves her and angrily demands why she was outside.

Scootaloo admits that she was scared and why she pretended to be brave. She explains why she plans a camping so she can spend time with her like what they always did before. Rainbow becomes sad when she hears it, realizing how much Scootaloo wants to spend time together. She says that she was also scared when she was her age, for the first time she heard those stories. She promises her that she'll stop working so much and spend more time with her, making Scootaloo feel thrilled to hear it but starts crying tearfully and Rainbow Dash comforts her.

Finally back into their bond, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo spend more time with each other: Such as going into the movie theatres, surfing at the beach, visiting to the zoo, spending the night at Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles' residence and, of course, she helps her do her homework. Rainbow Dash also inspires Scootaloo with her remarkable feats of superhuman strength, speed, incredible agility, loyalty and stamina. According to to official sources, Rainbow Dash appears to be extremely overprotective of Scootaloo due to the adoption, though she still doesn't know.

But when Scootaloo begins to wonder about why she and Rainbow Dash aren't related, and for that, Rainbow Dash finally told Scootaloo that she had adopted her. Despite that, Scootaloo still loves her mother very close and deep. Later on the film, Scootaloo reunites with her long-lost biological mother, Mane Allgood. Rainbow Dash immediately becomes incredibly jealous. Scootaloo spent her time with her birth mom, causing Rainbow Dash to be even more jealousy, worrying that she might leave her. But Twilight and the others told me that she can't be worried about that and she had to tell her how I feel. She did and she understood her. Scootaloo decided to stay with Rainbow Dash and Mane Allgood had moved in to spend time with her. She and Mane Allgood both did co-mothers with Scootaloo, and she's happy that she has two moms.

Windy Whistles
Windy Whistles is Rainbow Dash's mother. Rainbow Dash loves her mother as much as Scootaloo loves her, but has a reason why didn't tell her and Bow Hothoof that she didn't tell why she was a Wonderbolt, she quietly tells Scootaloo that her parents can be embarrassing. In the academy locker room, their excessive cheering finally pushes Rainbow over the edge, and she angrily chews them out, causing them to leave in tears. With Scootaloo's help, Rainbow realizes that her parents' overenthusiastic support made her the successful flyer she is today, and she makes amends with her parents via a private Wonderbolts show dedicated to them. Bow and Windy then join Rainbow in cheering on Scootaloo's school report.

Bow Hothoof
Bow Hothoof is Rainbow Dash's father. Rainbow Dash also loves her father but he does the same humiliating embarrassment like what her mother does. During Rainbow's childhood, he and his wife always cheer her on despite that she didn't win. When Rainbow's parents go as far as cheering for her in the Wonderbolts locker room, she finally loses her temper, snaps and angrily says their support is too much for her to bear. She tells them their over-passionate cheering is why she didn't tell them she was a Wonderbolt in the first place, and she asks them to leave. Saddened by their daughter's outburst, Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles leave the locker room in tears. Scootaloo, shocked by her adopted mother's dismissal of her supportive parents, expresses some jealousy that Rainbow Dash has parents as supportive as they are. She explains further that because of their lifelong support, Rainbow was given the confidence she needed to become a better flyer. Realizing she had taken her parents for granted, Rainbow feels guilty for yelling at them and resolves to fix her mistake. A short while later, Scootaloo takes Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles to a special Wonderbolts performance, in which Rainbow apologizes for upsetting them and thanks them for helping her become the pony she is today. At the end of the performance, Rainbow tells her parents that she's their biggest fan, and the three make amends.

Friends and Allies

Twilight Sparkle
As as teenager, Rainbow Dash met Twilight Sparkle at high school when they bump into each other. They meet Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie and became friends with them. A number of official material associated with the show refers to the six friends collectively as the "Mane 6"/"Mane Six".
