After all this time I finally made a new reference for darkNarel. I must say I'm really satisfied with it.
If you see the last year ref , you'll see why. Beware of craptacular anatomy! XDAll info about her is written on this ref, but if you have any questions feel free to ask me! x)

I love how you make this big, female dragon/demon out of βblack fogβ but still give her realistic and curious descriptions. The fact you made it so simple but-to-the-point helps me in understanding the fact how much the character is, but also where the character stands to you.
As for the reference sheet itself. I think you couldβve added more then just what you have, even though as stated, itβs very general and to the point!
Itβs a good thing to NOT confuse the viewer or loose the viewerβs interest.
I personally wouldβve loved to know more about how she would fly or maybe if she talks or not? How tall is she, her age, lb, and all these things that entwine together so that a person like me (or anyone in particular) can get to know the character better. You did a beautiful job on the detail, the simple cells and the smooth coloration is quaint and is a wonderful color for your dragon character here. But there needs to be more information then this, at least her bio, something MORE for me to go,
βHmmm. How is that?β And that little description you put down there is helpful, but painful to read as itβs so small and in a scrawly font as well as it seems to repeat itself over and over in different ways, meaning the same thing.
When you leave someone hanging (for to long), it sometimes displeases them as they cannot take that much suspense. xD But thatβs me. In a future reference, Iβd add more detail and some other important but random stuff. Just for the fact you can seemingly βinteractβ with others.

Side Note- Maybe there is a story youβre character is in, but no one will know by this reference sheet, so be careful when doing future ones.
Lastly, I love the way you color code your characters. <3 She reminds me of a mint Oreo cookie that will kick my bird-butt. Ahh, darkNarel is a very splendid dragon indeed!

Thank you so much for helping me with all these. I must admit I kind of rushed it when I was finalizing this ref(damn lack of time) and I also admit I had feeling I forgot to add loads of information about her. Even her old ref had better info about her xD So I'll definitely fix it soon, even though I usually don't edit deviation I submit at ince, I see I must do it now. Thanks for pointing it out.
As for the story I'm not still sure should I include it in ref with all those art/ideas thieves around dA and net. But I think I will because I don't really care that much anymore.
One question if I may ask for your opinion... Do you think I should add shade to the rest of drawings(instead of just her head/smoke pic shaded) or should I leave it as it is?

Heh, I am proud and willing to help anyone.
Well as for art thieves, I guess I won't be able to do much D: If you really wanted, you could make super thin/almost invisible watermarks on your work that is almost impossible to notice unless it's by you, the maker. I do that to all of my work.
I would not say 'you don't care' as that lowers your feelings of pride of your work. Makes it worse when or should, it ever happen to you. Be open, but be careful.
Should you add extra shadows you ask? Hmmm... well, I do love the way you do both really.
The simple cells are beautiful for simple yet complex action scenes in a big place etc. Depth in your work, in my thoughts, is for simple backgrounds with lots of tiny details and the main characters (etc) should be dramatically brought out to the viewers eye. I did something along the lines of that with "The Promise". I had no background, but a dramatic front image(s).
In all, it's really up to you. As I love both, and wish to learn how to use both, I am currently studying your art style xD So yes yes, both would be nice.

I would suggest, in your future art...on another random side note that relates to the above in a way, that you don't do so many quick lines/and or speed paints, owever fun they may be.
That you make them smooth and all work together. If that makes no sense, compare your work here--> [link] with this here--> [link]
Do you see the difference? Your ID is smooth and sleek, while Blue appears to be done quickly and with scribbly strokes with little detail (you may have added great work of detail, but it goes unnoticed by the surrounding dark colors with the sudden bright colors).
Just my thoughts, as you have asked me here xD
