This is how I envision the Arbiter. He was an Elite for pete's sake... Elites are killing machines, in Halo 2 I felt Bungie made the Arbier TOO soft.I know they were just trying to show the other side of the story in Halo 2... But in doing so I felt they took away that primal aspect of the Elites that I LOVED in Halo CE. Oh well, I still love both games, and I still love Bungie for the wonderful universe they have created.

you got the teeth wrong...the teeth are on the bandables, not above and bellow......Arbiter was perfect the way he was...in Halo 2 atleast...in 3, WTF BANDABLE ARMOR? NO REASON rofl, oh, oh, oh, and also, no story...at all...not for master chief, not for the ark, not for humans, elites, arbiter, none...Bungie is terrible for that...

technically elites are somewhat like samurai, they follow a code. brutes are the savage killing machines, they still have a level of intelligence but i suppose you could say that they just like hurting things.

You do convey a great sense of savagery and animalism in the Arbiter. If you had tweaked with the eyes just a little then you might have conveyed great intellegece as well as savagery. He is an elite and not a brute after all. Thumbs up.

well I saw the insight to the elites as quite pleasing as far as storyline. If the elites are killing machines then it gives the game a stale enemy, just a monotonous and mundane killing enemy that has no background. Anything that is capable of reason and the most important thing "The Good" which is what the covanent see in their religious views means they have conscious thought and thus they have personalities. The arbiter stood as a commander and thus he worked his way up further giving him a more softer mind then I guess teenaged elites who fight just for the honor and other things younglings see in war. I mean sure its cool to have lifeless enemies killing you in the game or visaversa but then its no better then DOOM or killing zombies. So I see there's bittersweet outcome to varying enemy profiles.

I liked him. His noble humbleness was a refreshing contrast to Chief's military dicipline.
A failed and condemned zealotic commander with one final chance for redeemal.
But yeah, the beast in him was sure long dead.
