My goodness! What a truly breathtaking drawing of the characters, the left side being the classic versions and the right side being the modern versions! I love it how it's like a reflection with them!
I just love the different poses and expressions that you have given them!
And the background of Green Hill Zone is truly beautiful with all the checkered patterns on the wall and th perspective of them and the details of the grass, platforms and the mountains!

Not sure how far back her hammer goes, but I do recall Classic Amy using her Piko Piko Hammer in Sonic the Fighters.

The "then and now" of Sonic the Hedgehog. I like how you split the two sides while still meshing them together in the same picture. Although for the most part, the changes for most of the characters are so miniscule. Most just got slightly taller and an eye color change. The only two here that were more extensively changed were Doctor Eggman (taller, slightly thinner, goggles, and a more bushier mustache) and Amy Rose (change of overall attire except for her headband as well as a change in quill design). Other than that, they're the same characters we all know and love. Sonic the Hedgehog FOREVER!
