An alternate cover for the NES Fist of the North Star videogame.

The game itself... isn't very good, to put it midly, but it is kinda neat that the NES got a title based on this awesome series! Especially when you consider that this was the very first thing FOTNS-related that was localized for the West (as far as I know, at least)!

That being said, the cover wasn't very good either, mostly because it uses a seemingly picked-at-random still from an episode of Part 1 (when the game itself is based on Part 2), and it features Toki, a character who doesn't even appear in the game! Granted, you could say that they choose that still because it looks kinda cool, but there were many other shots they could've used to make the cover be more representative of the game itself.

That's why I used an illustration used for an ad for the GameBoy game, which conveniently enough features Ken facing Kaioh, the main villain from Part 2.

Also, a lil' fun fact: According to a scan from a Japanese magazine in an article about games being released in the West, the game (and technically the franchise as a whole) was originally going to be called (and I'm not making this up), "Ken, the Great Bear-Fist."

That's the greatest name for a localized anime EVER and you can't tell me otherwise.
