I think it'd be kinda neat if DOA got a guest character in the form of someone from the licensed "Warriors/Musou" games Koei makes... and one of them just so happens to be based on Fist of the North Star!
And before someone says that Ayane would obliterate Mamiya, Mamiya's quite the BEAST in the ArcSys fighting game and Ken's Rage, so... there's that.

Ayane's opponent is a very deadly female and that is all I know about her as I never watched the anime series she originated from. After all,anyone from the Fist Of The North Star can put up a hell of a fight against the Dead Or Alive/Ninja Gaiden characters. If they didn't then chances are they are dead. A yo yo as a weapon? As silly as it may sound, Ayane still would be wise in not laughing and lowering her guard against Mamiya. There is no telling exactly what modifications this gorgeous but dangerous redhead has done to make it into a formidable tool of mass destruction.

Well, I dunno about that, Mamiya is pretty low-tier in Fist of the North Star in terms of power levels... though in the Musou game she can SLAUGHTER hordes of enemies, lol.
As for the yo-yo, it has hidden blades like a shuriken.

Ah. So Mamiya's yo yo can in fact slice poeple up pretty badly. Unlike a shuriken, the yo yo can be used from any distance. Plus she is holding some type of blade for quick close combat encounters. Ayane does have access to ninpo which could be the deciding factor who wins.

Two yo-yos, actually! And that blade is actually a big metal spike that she also has two of... she's not a great martial artist but she's good using weapons.

Ah. So if Ayane disarms her then Mamiya is a sitting duck since Ayane can fight perfectly fine with and without weapons. The rule for her is always carry a backup copy of her beloved weapons of choice just in case she loses access to them.
