I remember Sakurai saying that Heihachi was almost chosen for Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS, but settled for Pac-Man instead as the Namco rep. These choices aren't bad, but I think an SNK rep would be nice.

Oh, I know that and that the reason they didn't include him was because it would've been difficult to adapt him to Smash... which is rather hilarious when you remember that PlayStation All-Stars managed to adapt his "complex" gameplay just fine... hell, even Street Fighter X Tekken managed to adapt his gameplay to a 2D engine in the same way as Ryu and Ken, who ARE in Smash, so, why not use THAT as a base?
Anyways, while I wouldn't be against Heihachi in Smash, I personally think that Jin has a bit more potential for fun and flashy Smash moveset (like some Devil Gene-based moves, including his Final Smash) and besides, Heihachi has already been featured in quite a few crossovers on his own, give someone else a chance, lol. While I'd love to see a SoulCalibur character (like Sophitia) as Namco's other representative in Smash, Tekken's seems to be the more obvious choice.
And oh, don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to see an SNK representative in Smash, it's just that Project X Zone doesn't feature anyone for me to use in something like this... although I'm not sure WHO should be that rep, I mean, Mai's a good choice because she's iconic (in more ways than one *ehem*) but I also kinda lean a bit more towards Terry... with a Female Terry alt.!
