)I think I did this primarily for the new LuNa club Mostly to celabrate the fact that this pairing has a club that is alive again.
Ive said it before and Ill say it again, this pairing gets so little love. As a matter of a fact, it gets a whole lot of ridicule... its almost annoying. I mean, I havn't gotten much of it myself because the people who watch me are so spiffy
But Ive seen alot of it as I see the pairing throughout DA. What kind of ridicule you say? Well ... it seems like all LuNa art gets comments like ...
"I hate this pairing... god I hate it... it sucks... Nami looks so much better with *
... but nice picture though... even though the pairing sucks" 
Then another person has to comment again ...
" I dont like this pairing... Luffy is so gay ..." or "Luffy is too stupid to have a relationship" so... let me get this strait...
Luffy is too stupid to have a relationship... but Goku is capable of getting married and haveing two kids.. not to mention occasionally pimping out other peoples wives...
yet Luffy is too stupid? If you have read the manga ... or hell, even watched the show and the things Luffy does and says. Luffy is not stupid... he's as smart as he has to be. Hes just REALLY ADHD... and insane. That makes for a very interesting individual.
And as for the pairing, one day I need to just put down all my reasons... which I have alot. But Ill save it for another day.
As for THIS pic... well, its alright I guess. Alot of mistakes.Nothing too special. Me just trying out some BG ideas I got from looking at 's work. Give credit where credit is due ya know
I didnt even come close to doing anything as cool as he does with his BGs though... it was just me messing with color ideas. Drawn in pencil, inked in sharpy, colored and edited with photoshop CS

Now I've only read the manga, but even I think these two are well suited for each other. I totally understand how you feel about the commentary. Now so far everyone on DA has been cool with me, even if they didn't care for the pairing I'd drawn. The same can not be said for my websites. My Halls of Shame are lined with the commentary of idiots with too much free time. I just laugh, maybe toss them a reply then keep doing what I love. At least I know my work is getting looked at. ^_~*

*sigh* THe LuNa pairing reminds me of when I first got started in Slayers and I was a major Zelgadis and Amelia fan. Back then, the 'net was ruled by the Zel/Lina fans *twitch* and anyone who even MENTIONED Zelame was pounced upon and flamed.
Why I started my website so long ago. ^^ It's amazing how people just can't keep their mouths shut about how much they hate a pairing while commenting on someone's artwork. Makes me want to yell, "If you don't like the pairing, then don't look at the picture!" Yeesh.
Adore it as always, I LOVE the coloring.

Thats a perfect example... and I have to say, I love Lina and Zel as a couple... but for people to go off on a tangent about him being with Amelia is stupid. I mean, I think the writer kinda MEANT for those two to have a thing for each other(ZelXAmelia)They always fought together,and were paired off together. she was always getting jeolouse when he talked to other girls... he always blushed around her.... but its been a while sence Ive seen the series. I suppose I could be wrong.
I just liked putting him with Lina because it was different and I just thought theyd make a nifty couple.

You're right about him blushing around her. ^^ I did a study of it (which burned me out in the long run, but it was kind of cool) to figure out who touched whom more, and which one blushed the most around the other, and Zel won out on both counts. ^^ (I'm also known as the Zelame No Miko, which kind of explains my obsession, I think.

and about ppl comments, they really pissed me off u.u;; I wont ever say that about any other pairing even if I dont support them..
Also I think there are many things in the Anime that prove the possibility of this pairing.. even if they are few or indirect..but they are still there
...but yeah,, there are quite good numbers of luna fans around .. o.o like there are many japanese luna fanart sites

And I agree with you about all you said actually >_<.. My first look at luffy was that he's so alike son goku (that was a kinda wrong first sight.. I can say..) ~ They hav many similar atitudes.. but Luffy is light years far from the kind of *naive* that Goku actually used to show.. even if so (as u said) Goku actually get married on the series and get 2 kids x_x.. so far then why luffy should not?
Most of the ppl preffer to see Nami with the ero love cook.. but guess she's smart enough to dislike a relationship with such a freshman.. ~ Though I respect the ppl who likes em together.. only if they respect my opinion too >_<.. nor with such comments as "LuNa Sucks"...

Well, I guess all shonen characters have a tendency to resemble characters from other series at first, but the One Piece characters prove themselves to be very unique in the long run.
But I guess the point I was making was what you said, people would get alot more out of art in general if they would just respect other peoples oppinions.
Oh yeah, and I havent been happy with how chap 3 turned out in the fic so Im fixing it up. Thats why its taking so long
