You'd be sittin' on the wood,
slurpin' up the chocolaty good,
chucklin' at those crazy birds,
until they filled your cup with turds.

But I gave them all my hot chocolate soaked mini marshmallows and now we're friends for life!
Even as we speak they ride with the wind back to yer abode to pee in yer tea!
Mwahahaaaaaa...

Yeah, I've been a vampire most of my life. I still find myself up most nights.
I liked freelancing, which is similar to self employment, but without the book keeping end. Just picking who you work for makes a big difference in quality of life. Most I ever made annually working a real job was about 47000 & pretty good benies. Temper lost that job (and a really good friend) after four years.
My first freelancing job was for a tech temp firm and paid, 27.50 hourly, time and a half for over 40 hours a week or eight hours a day, double time for weekends and triple time for holidays. first contract lasted about a month. The company that contracted me was very, very behind on a 3D anime/video tradeshow thingy using touchscreen and lights controlled by the computer. They provided a place to sleep, meals, things to keep me awake and worked me14 hours or more a day with one day off each week to go and look at my house and show my pets I wasn't dead.
The money *sigh*
I knew a free lance aircraft mech a few years ago. He made two other brothers and myself canes out of Aircraft aluminum alloy. Fast in your hand, as light as solid wooden cane, pretty much unbendable or breakable. He was kind and the cane goes everywhere with me.

" one day off each week to go and look at my house and show my pets I wasn't dead"
That's funny and sad at the same time.
I guess I was really bad at picking companies to work for.
The last 6 or so big (global) companies I worked for moved out of state due to the messed up economy getting worse.
I'd work my ass off (happily and willingly) only to be laid off a few years later along with everyone else.
I enjoyed the work. The pay was good. Plenty of benies too. Great crews. But no job security. Never really sure when we'd get the pink slip.
Ain't no way to live. I got sick of chasing the carrot. The lies to keep us there etc...
So after the last lay-off I decided I just couldn't go through that crap anymore.
Been doing various art n crafts. Some I sell, some I broker. Nice small town. Good people.
The pay isn't as good but at least now I've got some peace of mind. Can't put a price on that.
What I really enjoy most though is digital art. Just need to set aside more time for that.
That and writing. I've always had a really hard time with writing. Think I'll see what courses are offered 'round here. Maybe online?

You could probably do a lil' freelance aircraft repair too, if you wanted to.
Hell, the best times of my life were times I had a good running bike, a smart, wiseass woman, a brace of pistols and little else. Most people look at things they want rather than things they need. Trouble is, there's always something else to want. I'd say if you're eating well, have a roof over your head and are making all of your financial commitments you're probably doing well enough.

Yup. Food, shelter and love. Or just love.
There were plenty of times with little food or shelter but we had each other.
What we didn't have we didn't need.

She was actually pretty cool, for a crazy old woman.
Old, wrinked, annoying.Years ago, before the accidents and illness, I was drinking in a local bar, making the citizens in it do tricks to amuse me.
It's a biker thing, what can I say?
Anyway, after a particularly nasty bit of fucking with someone, I said, "You all look so sad. I can't understand it. I'm such a nice man."
And from way in the back of the bar in the shadows, I hear, "No, you're not!"
So I walk around the bar to get a look at the new harassee, and there's this little bitty, thousand year old, wrinkled from muzzle to butt plate, all dressed in black great, great, great Grandmother scrunched up to the bar with what looks like six fingers of rotgut in a glass in front of her.
She and I both know Honor will not allow me to harm her, so I put a wide smile on and ask her, "No, I'm not?"
She replies, "No, you're not! And I'll tell you something else. You think you're going to just raise hell and enjoy life until an accident or fight kills you, but you're w

I just love that draggin' the butt across the floor thing...
...and if you think it can occasionally be gross when a dog does it - every once in awhile my fat, stupid, much-hated cat Stubby fails to get her azz clean enough in the litterbox and I find her draggin' her big white azz across my almost new tile kitchen floor, leaving a brown trail behind her. Which stops my laughter instantly.

Love this.. I started to do a scene with the hut then realized that it's not in my pc anymore.. By the time I found all the Tansy stuff discs & got it in the pc I didn't feel like making an image anymore. But .. I will get it done sooner or later.. LOL ..

Looking forward to it - other than your boat and plands (well, maybe the lanterns) this hut is the most "usable" 3D object I've ever seen.

Thank you!
Yes, she does. My constant plugging her models here is mostly to help a friend, but it's also because the accident took away my ability to model, giving me a taste of what people who love 3D and can't render live with. Helping other folk find low cost items to render that they'll use over and over seems like an easy public service to me.

Interesting concept. Surrealism?
I added a bit of global illumination or Radial Light to indicate the foreground objects.

Интересная концепция. Сюрреализм?
я добавил немного глобального освещения или Radial Света указать объекты переднего плана.
