It's like Rotom in that respect. One takes over appliances, the other household objects. I wonder if they'd be related in anyway.

MaxiMaster In reply to MorbiusMonster [2011-10-29 16:04:38 +0000 UTC]

Actually, forgive my nerdiness, but this is actually based on a tsukumogami. When items or artifacts reach their 100th birthday, they actually become alive and turn into tsukumogami. I just love Japanese mythology!

MorbiusMonster In reply to MaxiMaster [2011-10-29 17:23:04 +0000 UTC]

But still similar, wouldn't you agree? Spirits inhabiting inanimate objects.

MisterY675 In reply to MorbiusMonster [2014-06-01 12:21:20 +0000 UTC]

Actually, no.
The items themselves become alive, in this case.

You know, you people keep relating it to Rotom, and I think it's funny because the creatures this is based on are supposedly repelled by electricity. Found that on wikipedia.

it's kinda annoying when people compare your pokemon with existing ones... it's as if they're implying that you "had" to base it on an existing one since you arent able to come up with original ones... or whatever

but i REALLY like these! it's extremely neat! umum... now with what i've said already said, what this DID make me realize is that rotom really could have been based off the tsukumogami... i never would have thought of that

but anyway, i like what you did with each of them, and the way you corrupted the designs of their "item" to create them

the boot is kinda strange, but i like the way you turned the "grip" of the boots into little legs! very creative!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Darksilvania In reply to lydario [2009-02-08 19:11:42 +0000 UTC]

thanks a lot, and yes, it annoyes me too

I know, but it is suposed to be a poltergeist, but I dont covet with that

thanks, the original tsukumogami is based in a straw sandal, insted of a boot, but I prefered a normal shoe for it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lydario In reply to Darksilvania [2009-02-08 20:41:43 +0000 UTC]

oh no, trust me, it looks great!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

bluescarlet In reply to lydario [2009-02-09 19:02:08 +0000 UTC]

oh, i thought rotom was based in a tsukomogami too, however after a little of investigation (thanks google) i found out that tsukomogamis are afraid of electricity and thus elcetric items cannot become into tsukomogamis.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

lydario In reply to bluescarlet [2009-02-20 19:29:08 +0000 UTC]

haha... i wouldn't be surprised if THAT fact caused them to create rotom... an electrical themed tsukogamakizamakukuzamicon!

Atari93 In reply to bluescarlet [2009-02-11 19:22:09 +0000 UTC]

that's true. I never thought of comparing rotom with Ornauble... I think Ornauble is an original idea...
