Chaper III

Life was relativly normal and for a hero it's hard to adapt. Sonic would spend his time running around. One day however, he stopped at Robotropolis and felt a missing link. He would walk around going through and searching for someone who wasn't there. He one day got into Eggman's lab of operations, where he planned and plotted. He looked through the files and computer databanks and found nothing. All had been deleted. He felt empty so he headed back home. When he reached Mobotropolis with less then 5 minutes he sat on the bench with his head in his hands. His mind wandering on unpredictable thoughts. Amy came around and saw he was bothered so she took a seat next to him.

"Sonic are you alright?"

"Yeah I guess." he looked at the ground with intent feelings of confusion.

Amy noticed and asked, "Is it because of this whole Eggman-normal life?"

He lifted his head and replied, "Yes." His answer was quick and to the point. He sighed deeply and continued.

"I know it's a good thing, but I'm just not use to living a 'Normal' life. It's crazy to feel that I need Egg-for-brains to bring joy to my life." he frowned deeply and put his head back down.

Amy smiled, "I know it seems bad Sonic, but everything will be ok." she patted his back and left without another word. He lifted his head again and yelled into the sky frantic phrases of anger. Sally walked over and placed her hand on his shoulder, "Cranky?" her sarcasm burned.

"No! Just...annoyed!" he laid his head on the back of the bench and stared at her intensly.

She smiled at him. She turned her body towards him and sat down beside him; spreading her legs across the bench and laying her head in his lap. She looked up and asked, "About what?"

He laid his arm on her stomach; his touch so warm, "Alot I guess. I wasn't prepared for Eggman to give up. I had never seen him like that."

"How do you know it's permanent?"

He took in a deep breath and exahauled, "Because the look in his eyes said it all."

As they continued to talk else where Eggman was up to no good. He and Finitivus had been planning on resurrecting this Fleetway creature, but were discovering flaws in their plan.

They were at the Echidna Burial Ground with a laptop; searching for a source or signal to Fleetway's power.

"This is unbearable!" Eggman exclaimed.

Finitivus search the computer's databanks for some key information. "I know you babbling oof! To--" In mid-sentance he stopped. He clinched his fist and bursted shouts of anger into the sky.

"This is insane! To unleash Fleetway we need a carrier and the 7 "dark" emeralds! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!!! I have no time to find these and discover what it means!" Finitivus yelled through frustration.

Eggman looked at the computer network from which Finitivus discovered that and realized he was telling the truth. He started to think deeply about the emeralds. He jumped up in excitment, "I know where and what the 7 dark emeralds are! They were emeralds that were buried back before Megapolis was created for they had dark unique purposes and did not act like regular chaos emeralds. You could not use them for a power boost, so they buried them and I had found them. I had them stowed away hidden in my old labratory because I was meaning to use them as a power source, but they didn't work like that. When we left I had the DEL store them within my EggPod which is back at our hidden downunda base! Now that we have that all we need is a carrier. Also when it says carrier it means someone to become the host for this demon. Someone with an imense amount of power!"

Finitivus smiled a dark vicious smile and new it was time.

Back in New Mobotropolis Sonic felt bored so he decided to take a run around Mobius. While running he was stopped by 4 echidnas from the Echidna Burial Ground.

"Sonic! You have to help us!" one of them said.

"Why? What's wrong?"

Another one grabbed his arm and answered, "It's Eggman and someone else. They were at the burial ground and they were disturbing the graves!"

Sonic lifted one eyebrow and smiled, "Heh i knew he wasn't done! Thanks i'll get the freedom fighters and we will meet you at the burial ground."

His adventure was finally beginning.
