WHAT I HAVE TO SAY
Garrgh I didn't think that this page in terms of flows and actions were executed correctly!! ;__;
I think the overall page is a slight disappointment. >_<;; First of all I did a terrible job at drawing Sonic's hands/fingers as well as the proportions of the arms and gloves on Panel 1. Secondly panel 2 did exactly go according to plan because I wanted to animate Sonic being hit by Shadow's fists to the gut on impact - and obviously this showed as if it were about to hit him in the face! (which could also work if you used a little bit of imagination! X3;;; XXD
...) I enjoyed the drawing on Panel 3 and how the black background surrounding Shadow creates a rather dark mood to the scene. Panel 4 was not well done either! X_X;; It was done deliberately for effect to see if this technique worked - i.e. just drawing the energy affect of the Chaos Control rather than drawing Shadow physically doing the Chaos Control. So yeah that's my review on the page... It's not too flashy and I apologise if there has been disappointments made to the readers in terms of quality of flow and dynamics of the action and body expression made by Sonic and Shadow. X_X;;
Oh I gotta go to work for the full day tomorrow! Once again I thank you ALL for your wonderful feedback and remarkable kindness in donating your time, encouragements and support to me and your fellow friends and artists in this brilliant and incredibly bright DA/Sonic/Klonoa community. ^___^

Oh my god this page reminds from a scene in sonic x when sonic and shadow where fighting the meterex and when cosmo and the planet she's on is about to blow up so shadow punches sonic in the stomach and knocks him out then he uses chaos control to make time for the others to escape .....i am a huge sonic x fan

Awww, don't be hard on yourself! Besides, it's really hard to draw hands when characters are positioned the way Sonic is in that first panel. In the panel where Shadow is punching at him, I don't think it looks like he's going to hit him in the face, since his fist isn't angled as thought he's going for an upward strike. It looks like he'd probably hit him just below the chest, so you didn't make any mistakes there! The straight-out Chaos Control effect isn't bad at all, either. This way, it doesn't completely show for what purpose Shadow used the Chaos Control, which gives the reader more reason to advance to the next page, right? See? No mistakes. =]
You used very good dynamics for the part where Shadow's punching at Sonic. The expression, combined with the angle and speedlines gives it more force and impact on the reader. It really shows the speed and surprise of the action. The third panel reminds me of Sonic X. It makes me think of the part where Shadow hurts Chris, but regardless, catches him as he collapses. At this point, you can kind of understand a little more of what Shadow is up to. Heh, when this page loaded, I was listening to an instrumental of "Live and Learn". XD You've really added another level of your own into this. I think it's really great. Fantastic artwork, as always, love. ^^

oooh that's classic! panel one may not have turned out the way you wanted it to but it doesn't look so bad from the thumbnail
hehe but Shadow takin out Sonic like that in this particular momment is cool in a whole lotta ways, lol reminds me of some stuff i've done or watched in the past that's kinda cool XP like, by doing this Shadow's kinda set himself for a far more dramatic climax than it would normally be if Sonic had helped him like in the game and that's cool. for a very small part of me though it's kind of a comic relief hehe, it's like, they're in a battle that will decide the fate of the world and Shadow takes out his only ally (and if he'd failed they would have one more go at it XP) it reminds me of this film i made once with my friends that was like they were inside an RPG and were being attacked by assassins and stuff, and it was a massive battle in which they could die and one of them is looking for interesting items in the dead bodies heh like "how can you be looking in people's pockets in a time like this???" here's like "why would you get rid of your only support in a time like this???" ...... hope that makes any sense O_o
for some reason i'm gettin the feeling that i'm talkin too much about stuff unrelated to your work here X_X sorry

I can see why you're a little disappointed with this one, and I think it's to do with the poses of the characters. In the top-right panel, sonic looks as if he's standing, which doesn't suggest dynamic qualities in the scene. If he's still floating in space (I don't know if they are - i've been to busy to read other recent pages so far) then maybe his feet should point downwards, and maybe have one knee in the air or something.
I wasn't sure what was going on in the top-left panel. I thought it was Shadow rushing to grab Sonic, but from reading another deviant's comments and taking another look I can see that he is punching him in the gut. It's kinda difficult to pick that out. I'd probably recommend either taking out the speed lines around the fist (but keep the others in so as to keep the suggestion of movement), or turning it into two panels - one zommed out showing Shadow lunging at Sonic (possibly in silhouette) followed by one in close up like the existing panel. Maybe some shading around Sonic's belly showing it being pressed in by the fist, or making his face more contorted as if he were saying "ooff!" (possibly by making his eyelids closed slightly) would make it seem more like he's being punched in the gut as you described.
I do like the bottom-right panel, you've done a great job with that one. But I can see why you're disappointed, and hopefully my suggestions have been useful

Nyuuu~!! Shadow KO'ed Sonikku!? o___o ...I knew this would happen one time or another!! XDD Despite the fact that I luff Sonikku with all meh heart, I think it's... oddly cute that he was punched out. *thinks Sonic looks cute when knocked out* ovo ...I have officially wierd myself out. >w<; I especially love the first panel... Sonic looked so surprised... so helpless, when Shadow knocked him out. The exclamation marks on the side adds a very nice touch. nvn Shadu-kun... looks so determined when he held Sonic up. It's like he was thinking about what he was to do without the help of Super Sonic... except sacrifice his life. o__o!! I luff your comic, Mister Darkspeeds!!

I like the flow of events in panels 1-3. The sudden punch on Sonic, and then his falling to Shadow's left arm. Can't wait to see more!

Bah, I think you did a very nice job with this page. ^_^ I must agree though, that the way you drew Sonic's fingers isn't as strong in the first panel. If you were to do that same position Sonic is in, the fingers would be slightly curving up a bit, starting from the pinky to left index finger. Still, we do know what expression and emotion he is doing. He really does look confused to me here. I still see that he being a bit stubborn and not wanting to take a break. And I'm sure if we saw Shadow's expression, he would be giving Sonic this blank stare Hmm.. maybe add the space in the background to fill in the gapes in the first panel. It'd give a more outerspacy feeling and fullness in my opinion; but then again, this is your comic. But ther then that, lovely job on how you drew Super Sonic in here and showed a little bit of Shadow in here to let us know that Sonic is talking to him. And, I also like how you bolded the word 'wer're' in the second box.
2nd panel I like a bunch. I love how Shadow is hitting Sonic in the gut. I see that you drew Shadow's fist engraving into Sonic's stomach with those smoosh marks, looks very nice. At first I wasn't agreeing with Sonic's expression here; he looked angry to me. But after awhile his expression suddenly fitted in well with the scene. But notheless, he's looking a bit shocked/suprised by Shadow suddenly attacking him with a one swifty punch to the stomach. I adore how you drew Shadow's position here and having the back side of his quills here. Shadow and Sonic came out very well and so did those fast motion lines that is surrounding inside the panel. It doesn't look like Shadow is about to hit Sonic in the face. Maybe it looks like it because of the fast motion lines that are going towards Sonic's eyes,face are making you think that. But still, the panel came out splendidly in my point of view.
I also love how you did the third panel here; really I enjoyed looking at that when I spotted it in your journal, I still do now. The way you drew Shadow holding on to the now unconscious Sonic in his left arm is marvelous! Shadow seems to have a serious look on his face, maybe he's thinking again. I like how you have him leaning to his left by the wieght Sonic has. And as for Sonic, his collaped figure is oustanding. His quills going down shows that he's out of his Super power form and back to his original form. I like how he's still holding onto Shadow's bracelete here, quite touching. X3 I do know that it's Shadow's bracelet, due to Shadow's right hand being fully bare. Shadow's left hand is excellent and I like how it's grabbing onto Sonic, but doing it very lightly. Splendid job overall on how you drew those two and placed them in a dark moody background here.
Now the last panel totally brings a spark of surprise and wonder to me. Shadow using Chaos Control and warping them to who know where, is quite unique in my opinion. I love the burst of light from the Chao Control Shadow is doing, the effects you did is very nice.
That panel really should get the readers/viewers that sort of wonder on what will happen next. Where is Shadow taking Sonic? And why does Shadow want to sacrifise himself only? =O ...To me, it's like he knows the Sonic is very important to everyone, due to Sonic being the hero and saving everyone constantly. And if Sonic was to die or get more wonded during or after the fight, then everything would be in chaos, even if Earth was saved... If so, then Shadow is sacrificing himself because he really doesn't have anything to live for... dunno, that's my just opinion. Plus that opinion makes Shadow seem selfish. XDD;
Even though you don't like this page as must due to the flaws that you have pointed out, I think you did a wonderful job on this. Great job with the outlines, special effects, and how you drew Shadow and Sonic in here. ^_^

This reminds me of the scene from DBZ, when Vegeta hugs Trunks and says "My son, I've never hugged you." Then, he breaks the mood, by hitting Trunks away, and blows himself up. ._. Very touching stuff, and I think you captured it here. I must say, it was unexpected!

hmmm, I like how you just tweaked the ending a bit, it makes Shadow look more selfless, like as if he thinks it's Sonic who deserves to live on!

I admit, this isn't as good as the other ages, but at least you've managed to recognise that already and see the faults in the page. It still is a good page, just not as much as the others. Areas of improvement that i think could have been done to enhance the page include:
Panel 1: You've understood that Sonic's hand came out wrong, so you no doubt know what the error is, and that's about the joints and bend in the fingers. They're facing downwards when they should be upwards, but Sonic's expression is still good though and still accomplishes what you aimed for.
Panel 2 is laid out well, but, like you said, it seems as though the blow is intended for his head... I see two ways in which this could have been corrected. 1) The speedlines are aimed and faced towards the point of impact, his stomach. Or, 2), which I think is the better one and which you're already aiming at, is the exact same picture here, expression, speedlines and everything except the panel is cut into two, one top shot of his face, the other of his stomach, which I think you might have tried to go for... the surprise in Sonic's face, and then the revelation of what had happened. The exclamation marks font is very well done ehre though, which looks amazing. ^^
Panel 3 is, as you've mentioned again, absolutely fantastic and definitely the best of the page. The poses of both characters are good and it fits together well, plus the black background is suitable for focusing on just those two and the silence enhances what has just happened.
Panel 4 is, unfortunately, a bit of a dissapointment. The lines itself are done well and do show the effects of the Chaos Control well, but I don't think the way the lettering is done is very well... and would have perhaps been better with a spiky exclamation speech bubble around it to re-emphasise that Shadow is calling it out. The placement of it is still good though.
