Cheetara from the Thundercats...Anyone watch the new Thundercats? Anyone like the new Cheetara? I kinda like the older one better. I started to like this one, then they fucked her up by making her like Tigra, he is such a dick too.... anyways this was kinda lazy attempt at drawing the old Cheetara, is kinda sketchy.Related content

Thanks! Initially tried to make her hands do a cool pose with the staff but then I just kept concentrating on the hair and cropped the staff out lol.
I thought it had a lot of potential at first, the first few episodes were great then the animation started to drop , also the characters started becoming stupid, now Cheetara is a bitch , Lion-o is a pussy and Tigra is a dick, not much going there, the only one that they kinda saved is Panthro, but we'll see how this ends.

The motion of her hair really gets me, I think it looks cool. 80s Cheetara was a very maternal character in a lot of ways, and I always thought she was an admirable character. And I too wish 2011 didn't like Tygra, but who knows what will happen down the road? Really nice piece!

Thanks! I actually took most of my time in the hair for some reason. Cheetara was a great character, just like you said, and to be honest I started to like her a lot once the episodes started and really did not like Tigra because he was always so jealous of Lion-o, then turns out she likes Tigra, wtf? D: Well to be fair I guess they fucked up Tigra A LOT more than they have Cheetara, and Lion-o too, he was always very brave and smart, in this one he is just very inmature.

Well, they do differ quite a bit from their 80s counterparts. Tygra is probably my least favorite character while Lion-O is my favorite. Lion-O can be immature, yes, but they seem to have his character fluctuating in and out of maturity, so I kind of blame odd writing for some of it. And I think that he's still very brave and relatively intelligent if the writers aren't going out of their way to drive a lesson home. And I prefer an immature character to one that's just a jealous jerk. But that's my issue, I suppose. XD

Well, I did like Lion-o for the first season, but this second season just seems like he has taken this Cheetara liking thing way to hard and very immature, I really dont like the way they did that, the old Liono-o wouldnt have been like that but oh well, I guess i'll still watch unless it gets worse. I dont mind the immature character, but yeah like you said the jealous jerk is just bad.

I usually always try to draw the hands and face, because I feel that is what shows the most expression but in this case it didn't go so well and I was just tired of seing this drawing so I just cropped it and post it. No, actually dont know who that is, I was just watching the new thundercats episode and started drawing some poses, then I watched the old thundercats intro and there is one part you only see Cheetara's face and I sorta just added the arm , hair and everything else, I wanetd to do the staff, I think that was the most important part when I first started but for some reason I ended up not putting so much attention to it and got caught up in the hair.

well the picture is beautiful and I think you would like the artist, you have some similar qualities as him. I watched the new thunder cats too and the older ones, I really liked how she looks now but I do miss the old thunder cats. I hope you draw more of her, she was always a favorite.
