Description
Background:
- At a very young age, Luz's father, Manny passed away, leaving behind a widowed mother and a grieving Luz. In her grief, Luz started reading a book left behind by her late father called "The Good Witch Azura," which she immediately fell in love with. Since then, Luz became more and more of an outcast stuck in her fantasy. This eventually led to her being sent to a Reality Check Summer Camp. However, before she was about to leave, Luz stumbled into a portal which led to the Boiling Isles in the Demon Realm, a world filled with witches and demons. From there, she met Eda the Owl Lady and a wannabe tyrant named King. After helping them on a quest, Luz was given the option to leave, but desiring to be a witch and be somebody, she decided to stay and learn magic, despite not being a witch with natural magic. As a result, she continued to help Eda with quests, attended a magic school, made friends, and even found love. Unfortunately, her actions and fun in the Demon Realm would eventually catch up to her in the form of time travel and meeting/helping Phillip Whittbane, who happens to be Emperor Belos. Luz’s realization of her biggest mistake led her to a path of suicidal depression and isolated self-blame, hopefully she can find the strength to forgive herself, realize she’s not like Belos and regain the light.
Age of Calamity Bio:
- She’s lost so much. After the Collector captured her loved ones and turned them into puppets, they brought her into a nightmare where they attacked her and blamed her for everything that has happened. After escaping and reuniting with Eda and King, Luz finds the puppet forms of everyone she loves, from Hooty to Lilith, from Darius to Hunter, from Camila… to Amity. She couldn’t hear their heartbeat… she thinks they’re all dead and feels like she lost everyone she ever loved. And the scariest thing about that is… when you’ve got no one else left, there is only the dark side. Luz doesn’t know that they are not dead, but she’s blinded by her grief and self-depression. Only hope she can find a way to return to the light.
