Despite the horrifying look of the Crystal empire, you may think that the crystal ponies are miserable, but in fact, it could not be further from the truth. The crystal ponies have never been safer, especially with Sombras and Rainbow Dash’s child watching over the kingdom. He’s able to see through any crystals so there’s nothing escaping his eyes, but he’s not looking for petty criminals or silly misdeeds. No no no, he’s looking for monsters, anything suspicious breaching the barrier, and extreme weather forecast.

Unfortunately, looking through so many different crystals can take up a lot of energy so his face does look very angry when he works

info: in this my little pony alternate universe, it isn’t just Fluttershy, who has a reformed villain on her side, each of the main 6 have a reformed villain as a friend. Sombra is on Rainbow Dash’s side. Starting out as friends, to best friends, until eventually growing a romantic relationship together and having a kid together.

Foggy Amethyst originally wanted to become part of the royal guard, but wasn’t exactly welcomed in as his father was Sombra. Shining armor decided to give Foggy a shot and realized he was really good at knowing what was going on around the kingdom giving very detailed reports. Shining armor asked him how he could make such detail reports on areas he wasn’t even patrolling in. That’s when foggy revealed his secret that he was able to see through crystals, and considering the entire empire is made of them he can see everything very easily. Shining armor decided that instead of patrolling around wasting Foggy’s energy he would instead be perched on a watch tower and would look over the kingdom, only to report extreme cases and try not to pry too deeply into peoples lives. Foggy Amethyst has been working at the Crystalempire ever since and enjoys his job.

usually the crystals he looks through turn green, but if he puts extra magic into it, he can change the colors which he does for special events
