Darkwing Duck - BushrootMan, it's been a while since i've drawn my favorite shrub. And no idea why it had to involve a skull of a chia pet, it was probably a subconscious influence from all the Batman comics I've been reading lately. But I digress, Bushy <3 <3. It was nice to draw him again. And this was the first time i used this coloring method, where i actually used eyeshadow. I'm surprised it turned out so well.

wow, that is certainly a different way to draw/render, but it turned out very well. I love how his hair looks, it actually made me think of Moe Howard

You know, this is the first time I've heard of someone using eyeshadow to color the picture, and I have to admit, I really like the results. There's some lovely soft tones in there and, mixed with the color of the paper, it almost looks like Bushroot is in a dark room lit by candlelight.
Plus I dig your style on Bushroot so it's nice to see more artwork of him from you again. 
As for the skull, I like to think that the skull came from two possible sources:
A) It's either Gary's or Larson's. Hey, Bushie needed a souvenir. The other skull is a paperweight or a chewtoy for Spike somewhere.
B) It's fake and Bushroot is trying to gain some street cred by waving it around.

I think that was the nicest compliment I've received in a while. 
When it comes to how i draw Bushy... I tend to think of his body like a stem- flexible, but can still be snapped if pushed far enough. His arms, however, I see like vines. So instead of giving him proper arm anatomy...I pretty much give them free range to do as they please. It makes it less awkward, somehow. If any of that makes sense. (And I really am glad you enjoy how i draw him. <3 )
LOL. I would approve of a Larson chew skull. Just have it cracked and slobbered all on, somewhere in the corner of the greenhouse. XD

This is one of the most evil-looking uses of eyeshadow I've ever seen. I don't know if it's the skull, the look on his face, or what but just... yeah. XD All kinds of awesome really.

But thank you! I've actually really grown attach to the technique. And it was fun to step away from my need of embarrassing him, and give Bushroot a more proper representation. Plus, I just wanted to see if i COULD still draw him. It's been so long, and saddens me that so much time has gone by. Some fangirl *I* am.

I feel like he's somehow using that chia skull to threaten someone. Or maybe he finally snapped and he's taunting a bound-up Negaduck off-screen ("That's the last time you call ME a knob!")

I actually feel like there is a dark side to Bushroot that many of the fans forget about, or even ta into. I mean...The guy killed his two co-workers. Granted, he probably did it accidentally and out of sudden passion...But he still DID it. That changes a person. Plus the way he was able to convince himself that it was okay to violate Rhoda's rights, and to try and force mutation on her...I'm just saying he isn't a COMPLETE wallflower is all.
Whiiiiich is what I wanted to show. And yes, i also had the feeling he was using it as a threat. To whom, however? Well...Let's HOPE he's not dumb enough to threaten NEGADUCK. That alone is a death wish!

WOW!! I love the technique you used! Eyeshadow, you say? Very original, good job! Gives it a nice creepy effect. I dunno if eerie was what you were going for, but it just rocks! And the Chia Pet skull? AWESOME.
