Ok I have a theory that maybe Sunburst is brother to Sunset shimmer. However I did'nt find sunburst's last name but if it is mentioned in the series anywhere I take it like Sunset changed her identity to commit some crimes. Anyway, So many things about them look alike.
their names have Sun on them. usually it is natural among siblings to have similar names. their colors and some of their interests looks similar too. ^^
