I can't seem to leave this one be. This started as a simple figure practice and sketch of my latest novel-in-progress's main protagonist, Katie Crowe... Well, I made a nice simple sketch.. and then decided.. it looks too happy to be Katie.. so I decided to change the features.. then.. I decided.. it didn't really show Katie's personality.. This is a girl who survived the last apocalypse and horrors you cannot even begin to imagine.. and she's wearing a tank top and jeans.. -_- where is her ingenuity?! So I started piecing in bits and pieces of what Katie wears.. yes.. that is a bleach bottle at her hip wrapped in an old t-shirt. I also added some of her more visible scars.. and yes.. that is duct tape around her arm. A dog tried to maul it off not long ago.

I'm nowhere near done with this yet. I think.. i'm going to CG it. and not simple lineart flatting and shading.. i mean really CG it I do on occasion do that.. though not often. She should look interesting in some realism.

finalized some of the linework, darkening some lines (for when i cg and i need line reference ), did some work on her hand to make it look a little more natural. Moved her right hip pocket over a little to make it more evenly placed with her left hip pocket... added a panty line where the weight of the bleach bottle pulls down on her jeans... added more leg.. fixed the angle of the wall she's leaning against..er.. added her scars, fixed her hair.. and so on and so forth.
