Description
Listen we've all thought it at least once and anyone who says otherwise is a liar lol. And though this is quite out from my usual realm of arts i had to get it out of my system otherwise it would keep haunting me forever |D
The few ground rules i gave myself were:
- I could only use Pokemon where either their in-game description stated outright they were delicious / eaten (eg Farfetch'd) or resembled enough of an animal that would be eaten IRL (eg Taurus)
- Each dish comprised of something from one or more unique Pokemons
- No Pokemon that technically resembled a food item, due to the actual food item being accessible (eg Sunflora seeds, when you can just get actual sunflower seeds)
- I had to write a really over the top description of the recipe in the space of 2 tiny lines
- Everything would be pixel art for that fun retro flavour lol

Thats ok! Also kinda like same, though most of my creativity is going into random things (like this dev lol) and my comic outline. Kinda wish this thing would write itself so i could get to drawing it but ALAS LOL "XD"

My dad's been saying for years he wants a Snorlax Burger.

Never liked the idea of eating Pokemon, largely cause Pokemon are sentient unlike barnyard cattle and chickens. Not to mention Pokemon is a franchise based around becoming friends with them, if Pokemon knew that people may eat them then the relationship between the two would be ruined.

Well i'm pretty sure the Pokemon knew people were/are eating them as its explicitly stated both in the anime and the actual game descriptions lol (not to mention the whole food chain going on where Pokemon legit eat each other). But if you wanted to be vegetarian/vegan in Pokemon world i'm sure everyone would be fully supportive of your choices!
As per your second comment; yes shark fin soup really. It's in Sharpedo's pokedex that this happened before, hence the inclusion of the dish, but also since shark finning IRL is bad due to it not being environmentally viable, hence also the "responsibly sourced" part of the description (if you're gonna hunt for something, then eat as much of the kill as you can etc).
But i think the main thing to remember though is that Sharpedos are not real sharks.

Also shark fin soup, really? Shark fining is one of the most horrendous practices to grace humanity. Shark finners cut off the fins of live shark and dump their bodies into the water. Its extremely wasteful, harmful to the ecosystem, and just outright cruel to sharks as they die a slow death via suffocation. Its so bad Gordon Ramsey did a special on it.

Bounsweet sweat and shuckle juice does not sound that appetising XD Also thought Magikarps were too tough to eat or did they just need a chainsaw to get through the scales

Magikarps are so abundant and easy to catch im sure humans found a way to eat them somehow lol
I did want to try 20 for 2020 but it was already getting to foods where they look so normal you'd be hard pressed to tell what they were made of XD Otherwise i would have had a Wooloo (lamb) dish amongst other things that could've been done |D
The descripts were both hilarious and hell on earth cos 2 lines is just not enough when i could sound even more pretentious with more space!!
