That's like saying new shooters shouldn't exist because 007 for the N64 exists. It's a asinine statement to make.
Competition is good and breeds innovation. If anything, you should be happy that other MOBA's exist.

Not really, LoL has quite a few (read: a lot) characters that are very, very similar to ones in dota (Aatrox Ashe Volibear, Darius, just to name a few)
