Then society twists the knife.
Yet you still can't see.

Then you just don't know
What to do or where to go.
Things don't feel the same.
And you take in all the blame.
You've reached that all-time-low.

Your hopes and dreams shine brightly in your heart.
But it's just one big lie...
The innocence will slowly break apart.
And that hope will quickly die.

People have become so vain.
Or maybe I'm just insane.
They see a pretty face.
And start up in the race.
So they can make their claim.

All you do is run away and hide.
But can never get away.
No one sees the more important side.
They just want games to play.
