Cordia's name comes from the high mewnian, meaning heart. Her cheekmarks show two praying hands. When Cordia was born, Queen Nike believed she saw two wings and was delighted to have another winged one

When her parents died, her mother's next oldest sister took over the guardianship and the place of regent. When Cordia was seven, Victoria took over. At the age of 11, Cordia also lost her aunt. Her uncle could not stand this grief and left. Since the princess was not old enough, had no magical talent and there was no one else left, the royal council took over the task of the regency and entrusted Cordia to the main Celestian temple.

The gentle, always smiling princess grew up under the care of the High Priestess and her daughter. From these two she learned the Celestian faith and continued to reject the warlike ideas of her late family. The future queen firmly believed that one could bring back the old days through true faith, so she prayed. For calm, peace and the return of magic.

Once on the throne, Cordia created a new noble house, feeling that the Faith was underrepresented in her council. The house took the name Mandrel.

At the age of 19 she married Topaz Stone in 1151 aM. The two had 7 daughters over the next 18 years. Adina (1153 aM), Isa (1156 aM), Calliope (1160 aM), Magia (1162 aM), Brigantia (1163 aM), Colia (1165 aM) and Yara (1171 aM).
