[sigh]A certain *someone*'s been haranguing me because I've apparently been "hoarding" a bunch of pictures on Tumblr that I never put up here... so here's one she liked, that I did for the Les Miserables community for Barricade Day this year. I hope you're happy...
Jean Prouvaire (or, as he calls himself, "Jehan"), having his own private Romantic apocalypse, probably amid the burning of some city. He probably shouldn't be having bare feet, but I don't suppose tetanus is much of a concern at this point. LOL. [I dunno, maybe this is what heaven looks like for 19th century Romantics!]

Really interesting illustration, even though admittedly I have no idea what's the story behind it. But still I like the colors and the mood, and I find the skull-shaped smoke a very subtle but effective detail.
