Description I ain't afraid of no Rose Tyler!

Just a relatively quick-ish test drive of my new Faber Castell colour pencils. They're a lot more loaded with pigment than my el cheapo (generic) set - I didn't have to sharpen them once for this picture (they were fresh out of the box). I don't think my scanner liked the drawing, though - or maybe it was just jealous.

ROFL! I don't think I was thinking of the song when I titled this picture, but now that you've said it, I can't get it out of my head either! To answer your question: I used three different references, if I recall correctly, because I liked her head angle in one of them, her body pose in another, and her clothes in the last.

I do plan on drawing 9 sometime... when I've seen Series 1, lol!

Orange?beige? project paper, with very fine corrugation. The sort you get in a pack of 10 for something like $4. I tend to use really cheap paper.

Thanks very much! It's one of those hard paper stocks that you find in stationery shop (you know, for projects and covers). The brand I used for this is Conqueror (100 grams), costs about USD 1.50 for a pack of ten.
