Did this one for a friend of mine. He wanted a logo for a writing critique group he's in. Fantasy, Horror and Sci-Fi.Related content

Twisted always gets my attention. 
I actually made this as an avatar for a buddy of mine on some reading club website he was a member of at the time.

Weirdness abounds.
The raw, exposed flesh is a nice touch even if it does initially create that sensation where you can almost feel it on yourself.
The focus on the eye also leaves one wondering what the whole might be like, skin is most reptilian but the eye is more human, what could it be and would we really want to know?

Appropriate for the holiday season? Not really, but that detracts not from how good it is.
The colors are really quite vibrant and I feel it is very smoothly textured, able to see the scales below the eye clearly. What I don't like about the piece is the border style, but that can easily be ignored. I am really quite a fan of the macabre, and I feel this captures the dark atmosphere and some sense of dread within us pretty well.
I wonder if you would hold it against me if I used it as an avatar for a scifi/fantasy forum I'm part of?

As an avatar, no problem. Yeah I agree about the border style, but I chose it because the original is being used as a logo already so I didn't want people taking the untouched version and using it. And I really didn't want to put the DA watermark on it, so this was a nice middle ground.
