After seeing the second trailer for Ep. 7, I think someone at Lucasfilm is a fan of your work.

I was wondering if anybody else was going to notice. I could not believe that when I saw it. I almost wanted to post a side by side comparison.

It certainly is oddly similar. It just so happens that I saw the trailer and then decided to check in on DA for the first time in God knows how long. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed.

any chance you would feel up to do this for a bunch of pictures? Or do you have a backlog of projects?
π: 0 β©: 1
darthhell In reply to JediKendor [2013-08-16 15:32:44 +0000 UTC]
Well I don't have a backlog but I've been working on other things not 3d related.Β But I quit doing requests and commissions a long time ago, I've discovered if it's not an image from me I can't get into doing it.

Wow, now there's a portion of Star Wars I never thought of: What happened to all the old and destroyed tech?
This is a perfect way of viewing the Empire. Very moving and beautiful. It almost makes me miss the Galactic Empire... almost.

Thank you. You should see some of my early work, I started doing renders 5 years ago. It's a slow gradual process. One thing I like to do with each new image is learn something new and put it into that image, then things progress.
And for the money, I usually go with an older version of the programs, they're ALOT cheaper.

Alright, I will take a look at them later. Yes I do have 3d classes that I forgot to return when I saw Avatar. I will put those on and find out. You should try and make Mass Effect photo's and if you know what Mass Effect is. Mass Effect is my far best and favorite than most series that are out there. Star Wars is also one of my favorites and a few others. Keep up with the nice work you are doing, I am still working on my pictures trying to make them look good. It sucks that I can only get and find things for free. Hopefully when I have a job again and a credit card later I could do more and of course buy more when you have the money. lol

This is actually quite dramatic. You don't normally see wrecks in Star Wars, at least not that size. Imagine seeing it with your own eyes. Considering it is a Star Destroyer, it would be massive (even if it is a Victory class and not Imperial class). The desert must be truly vast to accomodate it too.
One thing you can't really appreciate is the sheer scale. It could have been an interesting idea to have had something at the base of it, like a vehicle, fighter or even the tiny specks of individuals in the sand.

Yeah the massiveness really doesn't come across. I'm going to do another similar image to this with the shuttle Tyderium. My best friends brother want a print of that, and this time I'll put in some people or something.

Damm this is freaking awesome! did the model come pre-scuffed, or is all that mess postwork?
π: 0 β©: 1
darthhell In reply to chimera46 [2010-01-18 01:58:44 +0000 UTC]
Thank you. Actually the mess is mainly me doing some bending of the mesh for major damage, and the rest is transparency maps for the holes and shaders for rust. The postwork I did was just for contrast and saturation.

gorgeous, Star Wars games should have more maps including that epic sceneries. I'd love to see this particular one in KotOR I or II, or TOR.

Man, I gotta hand it to you, you crank these out pretty fast. Don't suppose you've done any of Wyyrlok's daughter Saarai? Power adds to sex appeal, and her Dad does seem to rule the galaxy...

I hear ya, man. I was actually digging through drives today trying to find some old pics.
As for the chick, I guess I figure she has alot of potential (she killed a major Sith Lord I guess, so she must be a bad ass, plus the afore mentioned political ties). I'm not that into the stuff on her head, but then again I never though having a couple tentacles growing outta a head could work either, but then there's Darth Talon.
I guess if all else fails her horns (or whatever they are) could work like handlebars...
