Ok before anyone here accuses me of being on an illegal substance (again) I just want to say that I didn't come up with this concept. I was inspired by a silent film from the late 1920's called "Metropolis".Before I explain, please glance at my reference image, [link]
As you can tell I changed it up a bit to give it my own flare as it were. ^___^ The scene in the movie where this happens has a lot of Biblical imagery in it. What I'm absolutely sure, is that the people below some how represent the seven deadly sins, and yes I know there are only five present. I'm guessing there are two behind the structure they're supporting. I know there's a Biblical quote I could throw in, but I'm too lazy to find it right now... Bleh!
Anyway I thought I could leave you all with a couple of clips from some of my favorite scenes in the movie.

ooooh, they are fantastic. I love using them (if only they weren't so darn expensive!) I have a few of the greys, because I wanted to experiment with some ink drawings.
but back to your drawing: the darkness is fine, it's just a little blurry, but not too bad. I think my favourite bit is the girl on top. She is right out of the film!

I tried to be faithful to that scene, especially with the seven deadly sins at the bottom, but were too hard to make, so I winged it.
