Description This is a Union infantry company in full strength during the American Civil War.
A infantry company consist: one captain, one first lieutenant, one second lieutenant, one first sergeant, four sergeants, eight corporals, two musicians, minimum of 64 or a maximum of 82 private and one wagoner.

The lieutenants could both be 2nd / 1st. Also, good luck finding a full unit by 1864. Most regiments were at 150-500 men.

Infantry regiment were composed of 10 companies.

A British Regiment is made up of multiple Battalions, normally 3, each Battalion is around 700 men, so a full British Regiment is about 2,100 bayonet strength +1000 logistical and clerical support

Well...I was Canadian Army for 35 years...we have 3, 3 battalion Infantry Regiments...but back in that era...the words battalion and regiment were interchangable in the British Army. Each battalion or regiment had 10 companies of about 80 to 100 men. Kipling called it a Colonel, 800 fighting Englishmen and a band...still the modern regiments do have long heritages of service and sacrafice...which is why, I think, the constant amalgamation of the old regiments into new ones is so sad...

Well, better than me then. at least you served, I never pass the medical.
I did worked as officer intern in Royal Netherlands Navy for 10 months, but never got the Queen's Shilling.

there's no shame in trying...I didn't realize that the Royal Netherlands Navy used the expression Queen's Shilling...(see dear, you can learn stuff on the internet)
