It was dark times, Harry. Dark times. Voldemort started to gather some followers; brought 'em over to the dark side. Anyone that stood up to him ended up dead. Your parents fought against him, but nobody lived once he decided to kill 'em. Nobody. Not one. Except you.

This flashback from the first Harry Potter movie can scare the willies out of anyone.

Here you see the mysterious cloaked figure of Lord Voldemort walking through the streets towards his destination: Godric's Hollow, home of James and Lily Potter and their infant son. Watch as he makes his way past the gates and towards the well-lit house, leaves blowing past him. Next thing he uses the Unlocking Charm to gain entrance as well as the element of surprise. Once that is achieved, James is the first to die. Lily slams the door to Harry's room so as to put a barrier between her baby and Voldemort, but to no avail. Soon, she is struck the Killing Curse, its green light flashing through the windows. Voldemort points his wand at Harry… and then the flashback ends, bringing us back to Rubeus Hagrid and an 11-year-old Harry in the Leaky Cauldron.

To make this even more chilling is the fact that this happened on October 31st, All Hallow's Eve; Hagrid confirms as much in the book. There are more flashbacks in The Deathly Hallows, showing Voldemort contemplate whether to kill a Muggle child right in the spot. Thankfully, he never goes through with it.

If Lola Loud happened across such a movie—or if she happened to be a part of the Wizarding World—she'd have a hard time sleeping afterwards. For all she knows, the Dark Lord could come to 1216 Franklin Avenue at any moment. Best lock all the doors, ask Lucy for all her spooky charms, anything to protect the house against this truly evil sorcerer. Poor little girl will get jittery for quite some time…
