Never made a Shimeji before, I hope he turned out well. Let me know if there are any problems with him.

I know a lot of these comments are old but for future reference i just wanted to say this.
If the Shimeji doesn't work, extract all files then go into the conf folder.
There are these two files named Actions and Behaviors, rename Actions to 動作 and Behaviors to 行動 then try to open the Shimeji-ee file thing
If that doesn't work then...i'm sorry, but that's how i got all my shimeji's to work.
*Sorry if This comment is unnecesary, but doing this wasn't in your description at all ^.^ i just hope this helps whoever downloads it next. (Sorry if you have a tutorial already on your account somewhere ^_^')

If its not working a program called jarfix will fix it right up and get it working. I can link it to you if you'd like 
also thank you for putting this, it might help some people!
and if you have other shimes on your comp that work, you could also copy all the images from this one, and paste it into a different shime that works to get it to work

Is your tutorial in your gallery? I tried to use one of my mac shimeji version for this and just replace the images but it won't work. Nothing loads. I read your 'read me' test and there is no exe in the folder too.

That's really weird, I just checked by downloading it myself and it was in there for me. I'm sorry v.v hmm, if you have another shimeji with the file in it, I suggest copying the file from that one and pasting it into the Signless' shimeji folder. Please let me know if you need any help, I feel horrible its not working for you. This is my first shimeji, but I will do my best to help you with getting it to work, forgive my bad english.

Well, it's not an error message... It's this weird thing, It's really hard to describe, but I'll do my best.
It's basically just a small window that's all black, with a part that makes it look like you can type but you can't... It does have a title that has to do with the computer users, but I can't really get a good look at it because it disappears a couple seconds after it opens...
There was a file called ActiveShimeji, I renamed it to shimeji.exe because I thought it might fix it and the icon changed to what it was supposed to be... And that's what I click on, and that's when that happens.
Sorry if you have no idea what I just said, I mean typed.

You shouldn't have to rename anything, that's the problem, you renamed something, the file is two files below the active shimeji one.
