[link]That is the photograph I drew and used for reference.
This drawing is on the first page of my school artbook, so when people open it, this is the first thing they will see. Nifty? I know. *bows*
Anyways, this took way too long to draw. If you pay attention at all, you will notice I didn't draw the top half of his face, or the hat. I attempted for about two hours, but then gave up, erased the top half, and made a black border around the top, left, and bottom sides (which is cropped out because it's unnecessary here). To be honest, I printed out the reference photo, and tried to replicate it at exactly the same size, and most of the detail in the face was lost, so his eyes were extremely hard to draw. Oh well. Better luck next time, right? :]

Just use a grid, and a reference. :]
You can do anything with that.

lol amazingly thats how i always do it. but it takes forever to make the grid and do the measurements, and im not so good at shading

Oh. Then, that depends on the paper. Don't be afraid to make it too dark. Look at one value, then check to make sure that it's the same as every other identical value. If you work on one part, you will forget about the whole. You will end up making one part darker than another, which should be the same value. xD
When starting out, make it rough. Smooth and add final details last. Rough = good. If it looks good after you shaded everything roughly, it will look good when you shade it.
Try to do 1:1 scale drawings first. By that, I mean copy the size and proportions exactly. :]

Yes. I was planning on doing lots of traditional, pencil drawn portraits, and just draw people and sexy bodehs and stuff. Also, some stuff like Saldavor Dali for a painting, or something maybe. XD I'll draw at least one HOUSE TOO!!!!!!

the face looks great even with out the other half.
i think my favorite part of the body to draw are
those two lines that trail down your thighs/hips ... and
down to ... that area... hahah i dunno what to
say for that.
