I think I like redrawing stuff occasionally to see if I've improved. Plus, I don't have to put much effort into coming up with a whole new idea to draw

I wanted to redraw this: das-fernweh.deviantart.com/art… because I liked the concept of it but was still working out my drawing tablet and the programs at the time so it turned out... bad. The old one was drawn in GIMP, the new one almost entirely in FireAlpaca (I used GIMP to do the background since the smudge tool is better)

I think the old version captures Blue Pearl's character a little better since her pose is more... delicate? But I like the redraw because there's more 'motion' in it. If that makes any sense The sword's still big and fancy and suited more for looking pretty than being a good weapon, but I liked that about the original so I kept it
