Did you draw this from your imagination? or did you use reference? Im trying to learn how to draw scenes (buildings, environment etc.) from my imagination do you have any idea how can I learn?

I'm a beginner in drawing environments, myself. Because of this I can only tell you how I'm working: Sometimes I already have an idea about my scene, sometimes I just start painting without knowing what I want to achive. Sometimes I'm searching for images online to get ideas or inspiration for compositions. I'm often using existing photos as colour reference. The most work of the painting is trying things out, moving stuff arround and general try and error. I don't know how others approach this, but maybe this helps you a bit
