Izzy Saunders was an aspiring fashion designer who wanted to make new clothing that could inspire people and make them look good, a student of St Matthews University Izzy studied all manners of cloth and clothing so she could pursue her passion. Smart, creative and sassy, Izzy would eventually get an intern job working for a real fashion designer so to get a better understanding of the career she desired so much, until her world turned upside down in the Violet Hour, where she found a shard, emitting a strange alien energy. Exposed Izzy underwent a startling transformation, her skin turned blue, her hair white and she manifested cryokinetic powers, she was labeled a freak by everyone and forced her to go into hiding and live a life of self loathing. Then she met the Wonder and his team who offered to help her with her powers and inspired her to be a better person then before, even coming to save the Wonder in an hour of need. Now wanting to do more in the world and help people Izzy uses her powers to become a superhero and start up a line of fashionable superheroic costumes as the sub zero champion, Polar Girl.
