Description This was my method for coloring pictures using cel-shading with vector graphics in Flash x: But now I have a different coloring style / method. I'll be submitting the new tutorials sometime this month.

Tools used for this: Macromedia Flash MX.

I've used this ever since I got flash and wanted to become an artist,

Although I did not use all vector, I deleted only lines on shades.

Yeah I use Flash MX which was released before Adobe bought out Macromedia xD. I haven't had use for any more than that (but i've used CS3 in college). There is really no difference between the newest one and MX when it comes to vectoring stuff. The last time I used it for animation was probably around 7 - 10 years ago so.. I have also left this style a long time ago.

nice guide, however if I wuld have to make a char with this program ile have to start at zero. Becous I con't have a scanner and if u make a photo of a drawing the paper color isn't white but more yellow-ish...

You can actually. The layer that contains the scanned drawing or photo needs to be deleted once you've finished tracing the lineart in flash or else when you export the image it'll still show there.

This is awesome, watching a character come to life. Better then a movie… unless that movie is, the creation of a character or something like that.
