I wonder if Xena and Gabrielle would be as "close" as they were if they were men . . .Took this pose from a episode from the first season where one of Gabby's MANY boy toys died, and hugged Xena for the first time. Xena did not look comfortable.

I think they would be just as close with it being set in ancient Greece and all. Although the XWP show never showed it there were romances between men in this period.

Yeah I remember the arrow hits Gabrielle in the chest, but Joxer got in the way in front of Xena but before he does Gabrielle whispers Xena...love that moment and as much as I like Joxer, I just really wish he hadn't stepped in Xena way.
