Description
I would come up with some sort of snappy, angst-ridden title for this but my brain isn't working at the moment. Look for an edit later..Anyway, this was originally a pencil drawing of Vincent Valentine from FF7... I was too neurotic to ink the original so I made a photo copy. Thank god for Xerox!
I'm working on a colored version.. not entirely sure when I'll have that done.

I love the inking. Photo copying is a beautiful thing! i would love to see the colored vertion. the bony wings are beautiful!

Hey, thanks for your comment! I'm glad that you like the inking.. I'm actually really happy with the way this turned out though I've been a tad too lazy to color it.. hah! Too much school work...

that's too bad, but I understand. School is a nasty time eatting tool!! But the drawing stands well without coloring. the slight shading is awsome as well ^.^! Stifling is not easy... and to make it look good is even harder!!

^^ No kidding... stupid little.. dots. I feel like some old ass printer when I do that kind of shading.. you know how you could see all the dots on print outs back in the day? I did another stippling piece earlier of a guy.. turned out pretty nice. If I can find it... I'll scan it in.

lol!! i know exatly how you feel! I did a three or four inc. peice for class. 2 hours it took me! came out beautful! but nothign that small should take 2 hours!!

The face looks a tad off but I love what you did with the wings and the hair. Great work.

Thanks for the comment ^^ What do you mean by a tad off? The face itself.. (ie - features, etc..) or the angle? I think it looks off now.. because of the stippling.. it looks a little better in original form as a pencil sketch.. how would you fix it if you were me? ^^

I generally hate to nitpcik people's work. It always make me feel like I'm overstepping my bounds. Still you did ask, so here's my thoughts.
The face doesn't quite seem to match up with the body, in my opinnion. The body looks very thin, almost gaunt, while the face seems quite full and round. Granted, I'm not the best artist in the world, but if it were me, I'd slightly enlogate the face and emphasis the cheekbones slighty to mke it seem thinner. Maybe shrink the nose slightly as well.

Yeah, I did stiple..? (stipple? ARGH!) .. I kinda hate it. I did one piece this one time that was mostly stippling and I think it turned out really neat. I don't have patience for that either.. which is why my stippling is all irregular and such.. but then again, I don't have patience for the kind of 2D you put out either
