well most of them were at least my inspiration for it.
Gen 2 was way more basic when it comes to shapes than Gen 1 was, but had lots of geometrical forms, mostly circles as you can see on Umbreons fur. I took away this weird wire thing behind it's neck and added some of the circles to make it's psychic type more obvious. the Gen3 Mewtwo was inspired by Flygon, swampert, deoxys, kyogre and groudon. It is way more aerodynamic, it got these black eyes wich almost every Legendary in Gen3 had and big Hands like those of swampert, or kyogre. Also it got that long striped Tail from Flygon except for those Leaf-things on the Tip. The Deoxys part is this Hole on it's chest. Gen4 is clearly inspirated by Lucario. A little more unnecessary Details like fur, these weird Pants and those psychic bubbles on it's Hands. the Feet are very Basic and more animal like than the others. Gen5 got even more unnecessary Details and also this machine hybrid looking and those wires clearly inspired from white and Black Kyurem. Since it has to obvious that Team Plasma would be the one who created it, who also created the synthetic machine Bug Genesect from an ancient Pokemon (rumors say it's kabutops), there should be some mech like Details. it is also a little Inspired of it's Armor from the first Pokemon Movie. The Gen6 Mewtwo went back to more a Basic and more natural apperiance, these streched out Hexagrams are of course inspired from Zygardes apperiance but since they are floaty things controlled by mewtwo there are now limits for the fantasy of the viewer what it could use them for. so your suggestions were pretty good.
